Redlands City residents of all ages and with a range of talents will have an exciting opportunity to showcase their talents at Redlands Got Talent 2010.

Held for the first time in 2008, this community-wide event provides an arena for both children and adults to share the stage and delight a wider audience than is typical of most Eisteddfods.

The 2010 event includes the participation of leading judges drawn from the entertainment booking, performance and production areas.

Entrants in Redlands Got Talent are judged on one key criteria only – Overall Entertainment Appeal. It is as much about personality and popular appeal as technical expertise.

Entries for the event are sought in four categories: Song, Dance, Instrumental and an Other or Novelty section that could include, for example, comedy, drama, poetry recitals, circus acts and other art forms.

The competition is divided into two age groups: Liceblaster Junior Category (Aged 5-13) and Nottage Financial Services Open Category (14-Adult).

Prizes of $200 for First, $100 for Second and $50 for Third place are offered while an additional People's Choice Award is also on offer.

The Finals will be staged on Saturday, 8 May 2010 from 11 pm on an open air stage before an anticipated audience of more than 5000 people throughout the day at Ormiston College's Carnival. (Dundas Street West, Ormiston).

Heats for the new event will be staged at the Somerset Centre at Ormiston College from 4.30 PM to 9 PM on April 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28, 2010.
